 		Five Simple Steps to Apply and Study at
Selangor Islamic University (UIS)
New Application
1. A copy of applicant's passport.
  • Copy in PDF format.
  • All pages including the cover page and the blank pages are required.
  • Passport validity is at least 18 months from the date of admission/ registration.
  • The page numbers of the passport must visible.
  • Applicant must be in the country of origin.

    • 2. A clear certified copy of academic transcript and scroll (SPM/ O-Level/ A-Level/ Diploma/ Bachelors Degree/ Masters Degree) or any relevant academic certificates from previous school/college/university.
  • Copy in PDF format.
  • Please attach a supporting letter or any document from the Higher Education Commission for verification and accreditation of academic certificate.


    • 3. A clear certified copy of English Language Competency certificate/ result.
  • MUET/IELTS/TOEFL(iBT)
  • Copy in PDF format.
  • For Diploma/ Bachelor Degree/ Master Degree and PhD programme, the applicant should fulfil the English Language Competency requirement set by the Malaysian Department of Higher Learning for international student.

    • 4. Applicants Research Proposal.
  • Applicable to Philosophy Doctor and Master programme application.
  • The proposal must be in PDF format.

    • 5. Applicants passport-sized photo.
  • Photo in JPEG format.
  • Photo must be in white background.
  • The size of the photo must be 35 mm x 45 mm.

    • 6. Pre-Arrival Medical Screening Report.
  • Applicant must complete a Health Declaration Form as given.
  • The form must be in PDF format.
    • 1. The applicant is required to make payment of UIS service charges and the student pass processing fee as the following:
  • EMGS Services Charge : Based on EMGS Proforma Invoice
  • KUIS Service Charge : RM 600.00 (non-refundable)

    • 2. The proof of payment can be sent via email to international@kuis.edu.my.

    3. Kindly note during the visa application process, the applicant MUST NOT ENTER MALAYSIA until the visa is approved
    1. Upon approval by EMGS and the Malaysian Immigration Department, a Visa Approval Letter (VAL) will be issued. Centre for Internationalization & Mobility will send the Offer Letter and the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) to the applicant via email, for further action.

    2. Kindly take note that a Single Entry Visa (SEV) is required for selected nationalities entering Malaysia as students. Applicants from most Commonwealth countries do not need to apply for Single Entry Visa (SEV). Any fees incurred regarding the Single Entry Visa (SEV) application shall be borne by the applicant. Please visit the Malaysian Embassy/ Consulate Office for details and confirmation.
    1. The applicant is highly advised to plan his/her arrival in Malaysia on the day of the registration and shall wait inside the arrival hall upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).

    2. Centre for Internationalization & Mobility officer(s) will assist the applicant until the registration process is complete on the campus.
    1. New International student will be taken to perform a medical check-up for a post-arrival medical test. The result will be released in three (3) working days.

    2. Centre for Internationalization & Mobility will submit the new students passport to EMGS for student pass sticker issuance and will return the passport to the student upon completion.
